NDACTE Teacher Of The Year

THE AWARD
For an active NDACTE member currently employed as a classroom teacher in a career & technical education programs other than at the baccalaureate level. Achievements on which the nomination is based should have been made within the last ten years. There must be evidence of innovative, unique and novel programs that improve and promote career & technical education. The nominee must have been a member of NDACTE for the past five consecutive years, and may not be a former winner of this award.

CRITERIA
for this award will be evaluated based on the narrative submitted as a part of the application and shall be:

  • 40 points maximum: Position description;characteristics of the program that are innovative or unique; indicators of program and teacher effectiveness.

  • 30 points maximum: Professional membership, participation, publications, presentations and other professional association activites.

  • 20 points maximum: Community activities and participation;civic, fraternal and/or honorary memberships.

  • 10 points maximum: Education and work experience.
