National SkillsUSA Championships

Joe Karvonen (right), West Fargo High School, 2007 National SkillsUSA Championships 1st place winner in Secondary Motorcycle Service Technology, with his instructor, Jerry Nordstrom.  Joe received the Harley motorcycle for winning the National competition.  Joe received a full scholarship to attend Universal Technical Institute, as well as an extra $6,000 for taking 1st place in UTI's motorcycle challenge contest.  In addition, Joe competed against 1,500 students in a written motorcycle challenge test and took 1st place.
