SkillsUSA Alumni
Association Merit Scholarships
The SkillsUSA Alumni Association is offering two merit-based $500
scholarships to qualifying students. These scholarships recognize the
unique qualities of SkillsUSA members including demonstrated leadership,
commitment to community service and improving the image of career and
technical education. To apply, students must fill out an application that
documents their SkillsUSA and technical education achievements. The
deadline is May 15, 2008. To download the application, go to:

Johnson & Wales
University - National High School Chef of the Year Contest
Johnson
& Wales University, the world-renowned culinary educator, invites
high school seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshmen to enter their
challenge. More than $600,000 in scholarships will be awarded to this
year's Chef of the Year contest winners. Your entry could win a full scholarship
to Johnson & Wales University, the world-renowned culinary

nearly $25,000 in scholarships to the top graphic communications
students in the country who participate in the 2008 SkillsUSA
Championships in Kansas City. To offset the expenses
incurred in traveling to the event, GAERF will award $250 to the
state high school and college/postsecondary winners who go on to
compete in the national championships. |
